The Reason for Generosity

Our financial stewardship of the resources God gives us is an immense opportunity for blessing. Although often ignored, this is an area of our lives in which we can faithfully proclaim the gospel.

Giving of our resources strengthens our devotion to Christ and frees us to live open-handedly, trusting God with our finances. We trust in Him and His provision instead of our perceived self-sufficiency. As people of faith, we give faithfully and generously.

So, What is Tithing?

A tithe—which is a fancy way of saying “tenth”—is the first 10% of a person’s income. The Bible tells us plainly that generosity is the lifestyle of those who follow Jesus, and we live that out by giving at least 10% of what we make back to God through the local church. It’s not just an obedience thing though! When we bring our first and best to God, He promises to bless the rest. We really can’t out-give God. We understand tithing is a big step of obedience for many, but you’re not in this alone! Believe us, it makes a difference.

Giving Isn’t Just About Money

Our capacity to be generous with what God has given us isn’t just about our bank accounts. God has given us breath and life to share and serve with. Generosity means you can ‘give’ your time and talent as well by serving on one of our teams. We consider ourselves ‘family,’ and like a family, we all pitch in.
