Children are the Church of Today.
In Matthew 19:14 Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” At Fairview Avenue, we believe that children are not just the church of tomorrow, but the church of today.
Children in Worship
Children in Worship’s purpose is to bring children to the understanding that they can hear from God, and that He wants to hear from them. Every part of our program lends itself to helping each child develop their own personal walk and communication with the Lord.
The children are released during Sunday service each to learn and laugh and grow in Children in Worship. It follows the church year calendar, with seasons of growing, waiting and celebrating. It begins with the school year with Old Testament stories, then the parables of Jesus, and finally, the stories of Jesus.
